NOTE : July 1, 2006 :
Many of you have written recently, asking why the site is not being updated.
It was because of the war in Nepal.
Thankfully that is almost settled.
We will be updating all pages in the next few weeks.

I became interested in this work during a visit to Bangkok, Thailand.
Someone had placed a notice on my hotel bulletin board, inviting travelers to visit prisoners at Bangkwang Prison.

My sincere thanks to the many visitors to this site, who have provided information and encouragement.

I appreciate both your compliments and complaints.

I also admit to being intimidated by some of the negativity.
Most of it is due to my own personal ignorance about international activities such as this.
I truly appreciate specific recommendations and corrections for my unintentional errors.
I depend on you visitors to help me continue with an absolute minimum of prejudice to anyone.

I hope you learn something here.
Maybe you will meet some interesting new friends.
